An expert user research in Tech for Good, I create a safe and welcoming space in which to design products and services in collaboration with users and stakeholders.

I’m adept at working with children to seniors from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds including people with disabilities.
Values led, I’m a positive person with a ready smile, who has “people mastery”, my most treasured talent.

I'm tiny and I like purple!

I was brought up in a Brazilian family in which talking about poverty and the harsh reality of millions was innate. A normal discussion to have around the dinner table was one in which we considered different root causes of poverty and injustice, and discussed what we could do to improve lives for others through awareness raising and tangible action.

Finding myself in User Research happened by chance - I knew how to speak to children (after initially training as a teacher) and a company needed someone to facilitate a workshop to this age group! I knew straight away that this was my calling as I came alive! After that, framing myself as a Tech for Good User Researcher happened completely on purpose due to my upbringing.

My first three projects were Tech For Good and then I went on to search for full-time employment. I found it at Ayup, a digital agency that specialises in building products and services for nonprofits, local government and health organisations. I had the pleasure of running Discovery projects for clients like PSHE Association, Catch22 and Me+My Medicines.

I’m currently freelancing and working on exciting research projects with clients including Diverse and Equal and the Greater Manchester Responsible Tech Collective, where we are looking into diversity and inclusion in the technology community in the North West, while also designing a mentorship program to upskill 3 black user researchers to bridge the employability gap.

In the end, it's all for them.
